Tutorial
This tutorial explains how to add a new camera to the RealityCapture camera database and define its optical distortion parameters. The camera database stores key properties for various camera models, including sensor size and lens distortion values. This information is crucial when image metadata is incomplete—for example, when the 35mm equivalent focal length is missing. It is also useful for assigning distortion priors to cameras known for excessive lens distortion, such as GoPro. Please note: adding or modifying camera entries should only be done if you are confident in your understanding of the camera’s specifications. It is recommended to make these changes in a controlled environment to ensure accurate results.
