Tutorial

This tutorial focuses on understanding and working with components in RealityCapture. A component is a group of images that have been successfully aligned together. In some cases, RealityCapture generates multiple components instead of a single, unified model. This can happen when your image set includes more than one disjoint physical object, has weak texture, insufficient image coverage, high perspective changes, or minimal overlap—making automatic alignment challenging.

In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to merge components using the Merge Components tool. These techniques help create a unified model from initially separated image sets, ensuring better continuity and accuracy in your 3D reconstruction.
